Lord, send more people like C.S. Lewis...

God knew you before you were born.
even back before time began!!
e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g
about you was predestined to be
and the Father knew this,
he kept this in mind
as he formed you in your mother's womb.
your smile,
your fingerprints,
your tongueprints,
the size of your pinky toe
the size of your big toe
the number of hairs on your head the day of your 37th birthday at 3:06 pm,
even your laugh.

God, who foresaw your tribulation has specifically formed you to go through it, not without pain, but without stain.

oh.

my.

gosh.

that quote's from C.S. Lewis.
neat guy...
can't wait to talk with him :D :P

God, he reigns.

wash me, cleanse me, re-create me...

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

~james 5:13-16

far, far too often we over-analyze Scripture, when it's written plainly. I love this passage because it clearly states, "pray, sing, pray, confess, forgiven, healed."

well, maybe not so much. but we need to understand it is, actually, ok, to take the Word at face value.

cool, huh?

dive deep.

unspeakable.

He loved us.

sit.
stand.
empty.
unattended.

He lived for us.

go on.
stand.
walk.
exit.
walk across
the pavement.
unlock.
climb in.
buckle.
sigh.
engage
the engine.
drive.

He fought for us.

stand.
walk.
exit.
close
the door.
unlock.
climb in.
buckle.
engage
the engine.
drive.
slow.
stop.
turn.
park.
cut
the engine.
sigh.
climb out.
lock.
walk across
the pavement.
enter.

greet.
sit.
pretend to
listen.
pretend to
sing.
pretend to
praise.
pretend to
worship.
pretend to
pray.
pretend to
love.
pretend to
live.

for
Him.

go on.
stand.
walk.
exit.
walk across
the pavement.
unlock.
climb in.
buckle.
sigh.
engage
the engine.
and
drive
away
as
if
it
were
nothing.

He died for us.

and
we
painstakingly
do
absolutely
nothing.

when the
only
reason
for church
is
the name
of the church,
isn't it
time
for a
simple change?

seeing
past
our
selfishness,
our
pride,
our
temptations,
scales,
weights,
sins,
chains,

and

seeing

God?
